About Good Signs
Good Signs was founded in 2022 by Ash, whose career began in the early 2000s hand-lettering chalkboard signs for pubs in Leicester. Following formal studies in Graphic Design and Advertising in Manchester, Ash gained extensive experience in both in-house and freelance graphic design roles, later moving into the modern signage industry.
Driven by a desire to offer a more sustainable alternative to mass-produced plastic signage, Ash established Good Signs with a focus on craftsmanship and environmental responsibility.
Today, Good Signs specialises in traditionally hand-painted wooden signs, A-boards, plywood LED lightboxes, front door plaques, and boat lettering. Every piece is designed and made by hand in our Holme Valley studio.
